    What is COBIT® 2019 Foundation

COBIT® is an international de-facto framework for the governance and management of enterprise wide information and technology, targeting the entire enterprise. Enterprise Information & Technology means all technology and information processing that the enterprise applies to achieve its goals, regardless of where in the enterprise. In other words, Enterprise I&T is not limited to the IT department of an organization. Everywhere in the organization where information & technology is used, COBIT® can be used to achieve optimal value delivery, coordination between the board, business and IT management and to manage risks.
It is a generic governance and control framework with guidelines that focus on ‘what should be done’ instead of ‘how it should be done’. These guidelines provide practical tools for management, users, auditors, controllers and security specialists to effectively resolve Enterprise Governance of Information & Technology (EGIT) issues within organizations.
This two-day training explains why an EGIT framework is needed and how COBIT® implements this. The different elements of this framework are explained on the basis of practical examples and assignments. They learn that 'governance' issues influence organizations worldwide and how COBIT® offers them a globally recognized solution with an EGIT framework.
