It is undeniable: digitization is ultimately of vital importance to every organization. New technological developments play a crucial role in this. Developments that follow each other faster and faster. No wonder that much attention is paid to technical architecture within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Not only in the roles at every level (enterprise, solution and system architect), but also through enabling epics, capabilities, features and stories. And of course the concept of the architectural runway.
In the three-day SAFe for Architects course, all architecture-related topics and all architect roles are extensively discussed. With attention not only to the 'traditional' responsibilities of architects, but also to their important input in leading the implementation of SAFe and their role in the change management process.
What makes this course unique are the many practice-oriented exercises around a real life case.

This course is often followed by, but is not limited to:
- System, Solution and Enterprise architects
- Architects in supporting technical disciplines
- Experienced software developers
- Technical managers who make decisions about architecture
- Product leaders who collaborate with architects
This course is the official SAFe course and is delivered by certified trainers. The SAFe Architect (ARCH) certification exam is included in the course. The cost of the exam is part of the course price. You will take this online exam at a time and place of your own choice, but within 30 days of the course. In the Scaled Agile online learning environment, you will have access to an e-learning prior to attending the course and to the digital workbook that accompanies the course.You can also use this environment to take a practice test (mock exam). If this is your first SAFe training, a one-year membership to SAFe Studio is included. Through SAFe Studio, you have access to e-learnings, videos, discussion forums, toolkits and templates. We always use the latest training materials from Scaled Agile.
Prerequisites
This course requires prior knowledge of agile principles and practices in general and SAFe basics in particular.
Objectives
Attendees learn:
- How to develop and communicate the architectural vision
- How to develop solution vision, intent, and roadmaps
- How to prepare and deliver software effectively and continuously
- How to lead and coach architects and team members during Planning Interval (PI) Planning and execution
SAFe for Architects answers the questions:
- How do I plan for and execute a PI?
- How do I plan the architectural runway to consistently deliver business value?
- How do I create clarity and visibility into the architectural vision for an ART?
Exam information
- Exam duration: 90 minutes
- % extra time for non-native speakers: 0%
- Number of exam questions: 45
- Minimum to pass out of total questions: 32
- Exam style: Multiple choice
- Open book: No
