Data Management encompasses all processes, techniques, skills required to properly manage data.
Data Governance is the system of roles, agreements and responsibilities that ensures that data management can be properly organized and managed. The “management of data management”, you could say.Who should attend Data Management & Data Governance
The Data Governance & Data Management course is intended for:
- People who are (or want to be) employed in a Data Governance role or organization;
- Enterprise architects and data architects;
- Solution architects and designers of data-driven solutions (eg BI, advanced analytics, regulatory reporting);
- Business and information analysts in data-driven organizations.
Prerequisites
There are no specific requirements to participate in this training. However, some years of experience within an organization for which data plays an important role makes the subject matter more recognizable and applicable.
Objectives
In the Data Governance & Data Management training we cover the following topics:
- Data Governance & Data Management – differences and interaction
- The business case for Data Governance & Data Management
- The main standard frameworks for Data Governance & Data Management: DAMA-DMBOK, EDM Council DCAM, CMMI DMM
- The organizational structure of Data Governance & Data Management, and the role of Data Owners and Data Stewards within it
The training is delivered by people with broad experience within Data Management and Data Governance. They are therefore able to translate theory into practical examples and advice, adapted to and tailored to the background of the students.
