  • What is Management of Value (MoV®) Foundation

Organizations in both the public and the private sector have probably never felt more pressure from others, to do more with less. For any organization it causes a burden on resources needed for essential and increasingly complex changes and puts increasing pressure on the quality of products and services. There is a clear need for a method to arrive at a well-considered choice of what can be delivered given the available resources and without affecting the necessary quality of a delivered product or service. In this way maximum value needs to be generated.

To answer this need Capgemini have added the training Management of Value® to its curriculum of project management training based on the eponymous Best Practice guide. Management of Value (MoV®) arose from the proven and successful value management techniques such as those long used in many different sectors.

The training is intended to help organizations to add a successful and, in practice, proven method to their arsenal of methods and techniques, so that more value can be generated and an optimal use can be made of available resources.

MoV is an extension of the already existing set of management guidelines intended to improve the management of portfolios, programmes and projects in both the public and private sectors. It is also relevant to the improvement of operational quality.

The directive is intended to help organizations to use a successful and proven method in addition to other applied management methods and techniques in order to achieve a maximum full utilization of resource in combination with increasing as much as possible the value that is provided by project work.

MoV connects to the other Best Practices of English Axelos such as PRINCE2® and MSP® aimed at improving work in projects, programs and portfolios. Foundation level of training and examination is focused on knowing and understanding the method.

The exam is not included in the training. If you want to do the exam, book it via our website.
