    Workplace Learning means that you learn exactly what you need. With the trainer you determine your specific objectives. Over a period of maximum 3 months and within your day-to-day work, you develop the competences you need through specific assignments and feedback. Check the Spoken Language on the left for language info.

     

    What is Proactive Communication

    Do you recognize yourself in the following? You give your holiday plans to your manager, but your request is denied because your colleagues were before you? Or if you have time for new assignments or work all the fun stuff appears to be already distributed and you are stuck with the less pleasant jobs? Do you feel that you have little impact on your environment? Do you also feel that you regularly are walking after the facts, and you want to have more room to choose what you want to do?
    You want to have the feeling that you decide what you do, rather than it being determined for you. And where you are now waiting for the great opportunity, would you be able to create it. In this competence training you first explore the areas in which you would want to be in charge, that is, the areas where you want to be proactive. Then you learn to recognize the moments that you can be proactive and to recognize the steps you need to take to reach your goals.
    At the end of this training:

    • Recognize the moments when to proactively communicate
    • You know what topics or areas you want to be proactive
    • You know what steps you must take to be proactive
    • You can distinguish proactive and reactive language, and optionally use them
     

    Who should attend the Proactive Communication

    This training is intended for employees who want to have more control over their working and private lives.
    The individual character of the training will ensure that it corresponds to your own experience and learning goals. You work with practical tasks, assignments with colleagues, and practice in your own work situation, perform self reflection and spar with your tutor.
    Every week you discuss the completed assignments with your tutor by phone or mail. The total study is approximately three (working) days within a period of up to three months, depending on your learning objectives and time.
    The training is tailored to the needs of the participants, whether you join a group course, or if you join an individual course like Workplace Learning.

    Prerequisites

    No specific prior knowledge or prior education is required for participation in the training.

In this competency training you first explore the areas that you would like to be in control of, that is, the areas in which you want to be proactive. You then learn to recognize the moments that you can be proactive and to distinguish the steps you need to take to achieve your goals. After completing the course: you recognize moments to communicate proactively, you know in which subjects or areas you want to be proactive, you know what steps you need to take to be proactive, you can distinguish proactive and reactive language and use it if you wish
