    What is DevOps QA

    In this training you learn the basic principles of DevOps and what impact these principles have on quality assurance (QA). Is there a need for more frequent releases in your area, and you wonder what impact this has on quality and testing? Then this is training for you!
    Working successfully using DevOps is only possible if quality is built into the development process and does not depend on testing afterwards. The training provides various guidelines and techniques on how you can achieve this and thus make quality the responsibility of the entire team.
    After this training you insights into and practical tips to act as a tester in a DevOps environment. In addition, you are able to guide a team in the first steps to a DevOps way of working.
    After this training the participant can..
    describe what DevOps is.

    • identify in which situations DevOps can be a solution and what the limitations are.
    • identify what the ideas (The Three Ways) behind DevOps are.
    • describe the impact of working with DevOps on QA.
    • identify the importance of building in quality vs. testing afterwards and can suggest suggestions in a team to achieve this.
    • stimulate collaboration in a team, such as by giving and receiving constructive feedback.
    • transfer a quality mindset to team members.
    • ensuring that testing is the responsibility of the entire team.
    • facilitate in the entire spectrum of feedback, so during concept development, coding, testing and monitoring.
     

    Who should attend the DevOps QA

    Anyone who sees the added value of more frequent releases in their working environment and wonders what impact this has on the quality of the product. The participants are expected to already have some knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and / or Kanban.
    The training focuses on the impact of DevOps on testing and quality assurance in general and is therefore ideally suited for testers, test automation engineers, test coordinators and test managers, but can also be instructive if you are working on quality from a different role.
    The participant already has some knowledge and experience with working according to Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and / or Kanban.
    The participant is part of the Associate Masterclass of new Testing Young Professionals.

    Prerequisites

    The student already has some knowledge and experience with working according to Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and / or Kanban.
    The course is part of the Associate Masterclass trajectory of new Testing Young Professionals.
