At Capgemini Academy we always work hard. For example, I am simultaneously detached at different customers. Busy? Sure, but it keeps you sharp and it also gives you a wide perspective on the organizations and your discipline.
I am the lead coach in Business Analysis and among others responsible for the content of the courses relevant for Business Analysis, Requirements and Information Analysis.
In the field of Business Analysis there is a strong demand for certifications, such as the BCS and BABOK certification. Of course I make sure I am certified in these market standards. In addition, I make exam workouts for my clients and I help them in achieving their certifications. Preferably with a day (or daypart) of assurance after the course on how the material can be applied the best in the practice of the customer.
Requirements are important for anyone who has to deal with change. It’s a real skill and a darn important one too. The handshake between the client (business) and contractor (often IT) should be good. I help the parties to bridge the gap and to speak the same language. We can even certify our customers via IREB (International Requirements Engineering Board).
There is (again) a lot of attention for Information Analysis and the required underlying data (and the quality of it). We, for example, completely renovated our Information Analysis course and divided it in to small modules, so that the techniques can be practiced separately.
I also do individual training, sometimes through Workplace Learning. My students indicate what the need is (what the impact of the training should be) and I help him/her with it in his/her practice. This by a number of short online chats, where the effect will be shared.
Thus, each day is different and always worth it!
