You have completed the Mendix Rapid Training, and you know the theory well, but you also still feel somewhat overwhelmed. How to go about to actually develop an appllication?
The Mendix Booster programme gives you a hands-on deep dive into the Mendix platform. You will go through all phases of developing apps with Mendix. Cooperative problem solving will be the main engine for learning, reflecting the actual practice of software development teams all over the world.
At the end of the training you will be able to show a complete Mendix application, working on different devices, and you will leave with invaluable, concrete experience in Mendix Development.
This course is the logical follow-up for the online Mendix Rapid training and deals with the following topics:- Object-Oriented Data Modelling
- Managing the Application Lifecycle in Sprintr – Agile, SCRUM, user stories, DoD
- Building Pages – UX, UI, Styling
- Setting up logic in Microflows
- Mobile
- Developing in a Modular, Maintainable and Reusable Way
- Security
- Performance
- Integrations and Extendibility – Java, JavaScript, REST
Over the course of eight working weeks, you will develop an application within a team. The work for one week consists of a theoretical session, an interactive workshop session, and homework. During the workshops, you and your team apply the theory and address the main problems to be tackled for the application. Any work that still has to be resolved is homework, and it is essential that this work is finished, as it will be the basis for the next workshop; here, you will first reflect on the problems you encountered during the last week, sharing the solutions you came up with, and then start the next development iteration. The work for one week is estimated at 10-12 hours (1 day guided + homework).
All experienced developers can attest to the fact that (learning how to) code takes time, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. This course simulates the development lifecycle in real Mendix teams, so that you will be able to join your own team after this course. An added bonus is meeting other aspiring Mendix developers, who you can add to your own professional network. After the booster programme, you are able to independently develop a production-level Mendix application. Moreover, with an additional few months of experience, you will be able to go for the Mendix Advanced certificate (not included).Who should attend Mendix Booster programme
This training is suitable for aspiring professional Mendix developers, who have already started with the Mendix platform. Alternatively, you are a developer in a different language (e.g. Java) and want to make the switch to Mendix.

The training material is in English. The training will be in Dutch or English, depending on the participants.
You work on your own laptop. You must be able to install software on your laptop yourself.Prerequisites

7.I can constrain data for different users in Mendix.
8.I can use the Mendix Appstore to find elements that are missing in the basic Mendix project.
9.I can use the Mendix community to solve problems I run into with my project.

11.I understand the basic concepts involved around memory in Mendix.
12.I can successfully cooperate with my team to get our Mendix project delivered.
