We offer you the independent certification the market is asking for. E.g. Project Management, IT Service Management, testing and architecture. Furthermore Capgemini Academy facilitates certification for IT professionals of The Open Group.

 

Customers and employers want objective guaranties that people they work with are competent. We understand and make sure that professionals are recognizable as such by training them for the appropriate certificates  and certify them after sufficient proof of their competence. 

 

Capgemini Academy offers certification or preparation for certification in various fields . On the left you will find an overview with all certifications we offer. 

 

Certification is a development in our field. That can not be stopped. There is nothing wrong with that but we have to watch closely the importance you attach to a certificate.

 

Capgemini applies her own certification system for her own organization. For example for disciplines that do not have external certification. In other situations  the internal certificate is added to the requirements that apply in her own system. Certification gives professionals hold to determination of their personal development plan. Global players also want to apply globally the same way of working and a common language. When an organization has grown to such proportions that ‘like knows like’ does not work anymore certification is a tool to be able to compare employees on a broad scale. 

 

Certification or a development in that direction is an accomplished fact for many fields. It is important to realize that some certificates offer only fake certainty if professional skill is concerned. Certification is in that case emphatically an addition to the real professional training. Capgemini Academy trains people for practice and aims at professional skills. To offer  theoretical training for certification seems contradictory to that  but this is not the case. If certification is or becomes more and more a requirement for professionals in more and more fields then train to certify becomes train for practice: professionals have to act upon their expertise and professional skills they they acquired in the professional skills training.
