In group training, we use several learning methods to help you obtain the knowledge, give you helpful insights and get you inspired. Check the Spoken language and Language materials on the left for language info.
What is Advanced Data Modeling
You regularly read data models and you have also made an ERD yourself or maybe even drawn up a model from scratch. The core is clear to you and you now ask yourself, is there no more? In this case, this training is suitable for you. The organization you work for benefits from the overview of what you can create for the required data and how you can use this overview during system implementation.
After this training you will have knowledge of:- Drawing up a conceptual model, clear definitions and the importance of purpose limitation.
- Drawing up a logical model in all its different manifestations
- Drawing up a technical data model with attention to performance and manageability towards implementation towards databases and/or interfaces
- You have multiple methods and techniques (3NF, OO, Dimensional, Anchor modeling and more)
- You learn that time is a difficult concept in reality and how you deal with this in the models
- You learn about Model Management and what else is needed after drawing up your model
- How software can support you in this process and the bottom-up approach can complement the goal limitation approach

The Advanced Data Modeling training is suitable for:
- People who want to go more in-depth after following the 'Data Modelling Introduction' training.
- Starting Data Modellers or people who have to model data in their role, for example in role like:
- Data Engineer
- Business Analyst
- Functional Designer
- Report builder
- Software Engineer
Prerequisites
Beginning modeling skills and general knowledge of data modeling. The 'Introduction Data Modelling' course addresses these topics and is ideally suited to follow as a pre-requisite course.
During this training you need a laptop with access to internet.Objectives

- Create a conceptual, logical and technical data model
- You know what it takes to manage the models
- You can apply the right methods and techniques at the right time
- Communicate with all involved about the more complex challenges e.g. related to the different time aspects of data
