    What is Praxis Framework Foundation

Tackling change in a structured way:
Changes in companies are necessary and have been implemented in more or less the same way for years. Because change is a universal problem for companies, methods have been developed for this purpose: Project management methods.
You will undoubtedly be familiar with most of these: Prince2, IPMA, PMI, DSDM etc.
Because changes sometimes had to be tackled rather big or had a lot of impact, people started thinking in programs and even portfolios. Separate methodologies were also developed for this purpose.
All methods mentioned above have in common that they are based on the way in which the problem is solved.
    The Praxis Framework:
If there is one thing we have learned in recent decades, it is that there is no single universal approach for all companies. However, there are elements that are universally applicable and these have been collected and we call them "Best Practices".
For example, you see many companies that use Prince2 for the most part, but for parts fall back on IPMA competencies and possibly still apply Agile parts.
This is exactly why the Praxis Framework was developed.
The Praxis Framework is a FREE framework for managing projects, programs and portfolios. It includes a Body of Knowledge, Methodology, Competence Framework and a Competence Maturity Model.
Furthermore, it is supported by a Knowledge Base and an Encyclopedia.
The Praxis Framework has collected many "Best Practices" and integrated them into the Framework.
    The difference:
Praxis is free and Open Source. This means that Praxis is not static, but will be further developed by all users of the Praxis Framework. So you too can contribute to the renewal and improvement of the area of expertise!
The Praxis Framework is always online in its latest version. No stacks of books, folders with templates, building intranet knowledge bases. Worldwide information on problem solving and change implementation captured in one framework. If you still want to build your version internally, you can clone the Praxis Framework and customise it for your company.
The Praxis Framework is based on the principle that the method must adapt to the situation. That is why no project, programme or portfolio is chosen in advance. If you reason on the basis of the problem or the change, you will come to the conclusion that something is more or less complex and that for that reason you will tackle the problem as a project, programme or portfolio.
A certified Praxis manager is not a project manager, programme manager or portfolio manager. It is a P3M manager: The problem is tackled in the way that is best for this specific problem. The Praxis Manager takes the right parts of methods with the techniques and templates from the knowledge base, precisely because he/she knows all these parts and techniques, unlike a project manager who only knows how to run a project.
