    What is SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)

    This two-day training is meant as an in-depth training to better fulfill your role as Scrum Master in a SAFe environment. We will, among other things, discuss the recognition of anti-patterns and how you can respond to them. Of course we pay attention to the facilitation of SAFe events at the level of the Agile Release Train. We will also discuss topics such as flow, Kanban, quality and XP. And last but not least, continuous improvement to achieve high performing teams plays a role in the training.

    Who should attend SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)

    This training is primarily intended for those who (will) fulfill the role of Scrum Master within a SAFe environment and already have some experience as a Scrum Master. If you don't have any experience with the role of the Scrum Master yet, we recommend the SAFe Scrum Master training.
    This course is the official SAFe course and is delivered by certified trainers. The SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certification exam is included in the course. The cost of the exam is part of the course price. You will take this online exam at a time and place of your own choice, but within 30 days of the course. In the Scaled Agile online learning environment, you will have access to an e-learning prior to attending the course and to the digital workbook that accompaniesthe course. You can also use this environment to take a practice test (mock exam). Included in the course is a one-year membership of the SAFe Community Platform. This platform gives you access to videos, discussion forums, toolkits and templates. This course is based on the most recent version of SAFe.

    Prerequisites

    We expect you to already have some experience as a Scrum Master and preferably some prior knowledge of SAFe.

    Objectives

    The learning objectives are:

    • Apply SAFe principles to facilitation, enablement, and coaching in a multi-team environment
    • Build a high-performing team and foster relentless improvement at scale
    • Address Agile and Scrum anti-patterns
    • Support the adoption of engineering practices, DevOps, and Agile architecture
    • Learn to apply Kanban eXtreme Programming (XP) frameworks to optimize flow and improve the team’s work
    • Facilitate program planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end systems value
    • Support learning through participation in Communities of Practice and innovation cycles

    Exam information:

    • Exam duration: 120 minutes
    • % extra time for non-native speakers: 0%
    • Number of exam questions: 60
    • Minimum correct questions: 44
    • Exam style: Multiple choice
    • Open book: No
